Located in the heart of Buckingham, The Mitre has become over the last ten years one of the up and coming venues in North Buckinghamshire.  

Our Founder Ewan, was invited to head up a Security team in 2023 as the venue was becoming incredibly popular and often achieving maximum capacity. 

The Mitre continues to be a local CAMRA attraction, so it was important to maintain the friendly atmosphere of a local pub and bustling music venue, attracting local bands and music from further afield. In 2025, The Mitre was awarded ‘Best Pub in Buckinghamshire’ 

As a Security Team, in collaboration with the venue management, it became clear that having maximum numbers was spoiling the atmosphere and the experience for the customer. We implemented a lower capacity, dropping it by approx 25% and placing   a Security Officer on the front door, allowing customers to enjoy the atmosphere of the venue without feeling crushed or uncomfortable. Further Security Officers inside the venue constantly monitor the venue.  

As a consequence, the management found the evenings were more profitable with slightly lower numbers, the staff and customers felt safe and the whole experience was so much more positive and enjoyable. 

The Security staff are well known to the customers, all from an Armed Forces or Public Service background, bringing a high degree of professionalism to the venue made everyone feel respected, valued and most importantly safe. 

Today, Keystone SG Ltd continues to provide quality Security staff to The Mitre Pub in Buckingham and it has become the model for our Venue portfolio.
